What do members get?

A member benefit your newest members actually need, at no cost to them or to you.

Every newly licensed member hits the NPI step at their first insurance panel, VA referral, auto-injury claim or platform signup. Most learn the acronym the day someone asks for it.

Today

The member searches "how do I get an NPI".They land on a government portal with two accounts to create, or on a company that charges for the paperwork. Either way, your association was not part of the answer.

With your link

The member clicks the link on your benefits page or in your newsletter. One short form. The NPI arrives by email and text, with all the documentation, usually within 10 minutes. Free. Your name was on the link.

What does it cost?

Nothing, for you or for the member. CMS issues the NPI free; SimpleNPI files it free.

There is no contract, no exclusivity and no data exchange. Members enter their own details on simplenpi.com, and the page always says they can apply at NPPES themselves.

No contract

A link on a page. Remove it at any time.

No member data

You never send us a list. The member applies in their own name, like at NPPES.

No exclusivity

Keep every other benefit and every other vendor. This one simply costs nothing.

How do we present it?

A link with your name on it.

Your association's name goes in the link. It lets you ask how many members used it (counts, never names) and lets the form greet them in the right state.

The link

https://simplenpi.com/start

Want your logo on the form as well? Make a branded link, no account needed.

Where it goes
Member benefits page

One line under benefits: "Need an NPI? Filed free, usually within 10 minutes."

New-licensee welcome email

The moment they are most likely to need it.

Chapter newsletter

The blurb below, pasted as is, once or twice a year.

What goes in the newsletter?

A blurb you can paste as is.

Under sixty words, no edits needed. It already carries the link you made above.

Need an NPI number? Every provider who bills insurance, the VA or a platform needs one. SimpleNPI files the application for you for free, and your NPI arrives by email and text, with all the documentation, usually within 10 minutes. Or apply yourself, also free, at nppes.cms.hhs.gov. Start at https://simplenpi.com/start.

Also fine to add: "SimpleNPI is a private filing service, not a government agency. The NPI itself is issued free by CMS."

Can members look up an NPI on our site?

Yes. The free lookup widget drops into your member directory page.

Search by name, business name or NPI number, with results straight from the CMS registry, which CMS refreshes daily. A member who is not sure whether they already have an NPI finds out in seconds.
