Add SimpleNPI to your site

Your applicants, students or members who need an NPI get it filed for free, usually within 10 minutes, without leaving for a government portal. Pick one of three snippets, set your defaults below, copy, paste. No cost, no contract, nothing to sign.

Fastest: change the one link in your help center or onboarding that currently points at NPPES so it points at SimpleNPI instead (option 1). Add the button or the widget when you want applicants to stay on your page.

Option 2: a pop-up button

Applicant stays on your page

One script tag and one button. The form opens in a window over your page; when the applicant finishes, your page gets a simplenpi:done event and, once CMS issues the number, a simplenpi:issued event with the NPI, so you can fill it into your own field (data-fill). The applicant's identity details are entered on simplenpi.com only and never pass through your page.

Option 3: the lookup widget

Free NPI lookup on your page

An embeddable panel with the free CMS registry lookup (by name, business name or NPI number) and a "Get one free" button for anyone who does not have an NPI yet. Useful on resource pages, association member areas and school career pages. The second script keeps the frame sized to its content.

What the applicant sees

One short form: name, license, contact, address, identity, and an e-signed authorization. About 3 minutes, no CMS account to create.
A person checks the license and address, then files the application with CMS under the applicant's signed authorization.
The NPI arrives by email and text, with all the documentation, usually within 10 minutes. Filed after midnight Eastern? It issues around 6 am Eastern.
The applicant also gets the steps to claim their own CMS login, so the number is theirs to manage without anyone else.

What you receive

With the link: nothing changes on your side; the applicant comes back with the number. With the button: the simplenpi:issued event hands your page the NPI. No cost, no contract
